Our Story
Two Lucky Ducks
Grant and Carly’s story began in March 2023—and it truly was love at first sight.
After a week of talking, they decided to meet in person at Pearl Street, a lively bar in DC’s Wharf District. Despite the loud “hippie” band playing in the background, they spent hours in conversation.
At the end of the night, Grant drove Carly home and asked her to dinner later that week.
From that moment on, their connection only grew stronger. Their days together were filled with adventures—weekends in DC (when Carly wasn’t traveling or Grant wasn’t hunting), long drives to visit family in Pennsylvania and Arkansas, and even Carly’s first taste of venison, thanks to Grant’s persuasion. Each experience deepened their bond and love for one another.
Eighteen months later, on December 22, 2024, at exactly 4:45 p.m., Grant proposed in his hometown of Rogers, Arkansas.
Now, just 18 months after that unforgettable moment, they will say “I do” and begin their married life together on September 12, 2026, at 4:45 p.m.
